Game Recap

The Medina Bees defeated the Brecksville Bees 50-35 in the first round of postseason play on Saturday afternoon. Medina (9-14) used a balanced attack and a 38-13 rebounding advantage to get the win on their home court.

The Bees were led by Katie Neate’s 9 pts & 7 rbs (career-highs) plus 6 asts. Madison Luthy added 9 pts while Amanda Holzman (9 pts, 9rbs), Emma Bobey (8pts, 8 rbs) and Lindsey Linard (8 pts, 10 rbs) dominated in the post. Anna Smith and Abby McMullen both played tough perimeter defense. As a team, the Bees shot 85% from the free throw line.

#5 seed Medina will travel to #4 Parma on Thursday, Feb. 23 for a 7pm Sectional Final contest.
