The #5 Bees upset #1 seed St. Joseph in the Valley Forge District Semifinals, 42-34, on Monday night. Medina got off to a slow start, falling behind 17-4 in the second quarter and tallying just 9 points at halftime. But the team turned up the defensive intensity and outscored the Jaguars 38-17 from that point on.

Abby McMullen led the team’s defense with 6 steals while Katie Neate (6 points, 2 assists, 1 steal), Anna Marie Smith and Madison Luthy (7 points) played strong perimeter defense.
