On Wednesday, Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) recognized the Medina High School championship men’s soccer team at the Ohio Statehouse.
President Obhof presented a resolution to Coach Simon Spelling and the team for the program’s first-ever Division 1 state championship win, earned last November in a 1-0 overtime victory over Cincinnati’s Archbishop Moeller. Obhof was joined by State Representative Steve Hambley (R-Brunswick).
“I’m proud to recognize the accomplishments of the Medina Bees soccer team,” said Obhof. “These student athletes work incredibly hard as a team both on and off the field and are the pride of their families, their school and the Medina community.”
