The end of the year has brought many challenges and many new normals.  We are currently preparing for closing out the year and developing plans for the dropping off of materials and the picking up of student belongings left at the building.

As you know the Governor has closed schools through the end of the school year.  We are going to begin the process of closing down Medina High School.  We will begin the process of returning books and retrieving personal locker belongings on Tuesday May 19th for Seniors and Tuesday, May 26th for underclassmen. Our number one priority is the safety of our students and families, so we have come up with the following plan:

Student Textbook Return and Locker Cleanout

  1. All students will enter the building through the D4 (North Entrance) doors

  2. Pallets will be set up in the Senior Commons, separated by subject area.  Bins for winter/spring sports will also be set up in the Senior Commons for students to drop off uniforms.

  3. Students will enter the building and move quickly to Senior Commons where they will place their textbooks on the proper pallet and if they have uniforms will place them (in a sealed bag with name and grade inside for easy identification) in the appropriate bin.

    1. Seniors will follow the same procedure, but additional pallets will be placed in the Senior Commons, where the Seniors will drop off their Chromebooks.

  4. After placing their textbooks on the proper pallet and if necessary returning Athletic Uniforms, students will move immediately to their locker (if needed) to remove their personal items and clean out the lockers. Students will remain socially distant and will not congregate in the common areas and exit the building through the D6 door (next to ISR room) once they have completed dropping off all their materials and cleaning out their lockers.
