Bees News · Opening of MCS Outdoor Facilities

Beginning Monday, June 1, District outdoor athletic facilities will be reopened for use by the public under specific guidelines that have been set in collaboration with the Medina County Health Department and the Stay Safe Ohio Guidelines.

Facilities that will be reopening include Ken Dukes Stadium which encompasses the field and track, Memorial Stadium field and track, Medina High School tennis courts, and A.I. Root Middle School field, track and tennis courts.  Baseball and softball fields are not open to the public at any time and may only be used with proper permission and scheduling.  At this time, all District playgrounds and basketball courts will remain closed until further notice.

Those using any of these facilities will be asked to practice 6 feet of social distance, remain in groups not larger than ten, and not congregate.  Signage will be posted at each location with the guidelines that should be followed. In addition, at this time, bathrooms will remain closed until further notice.  Our student athletes will also be returning to the fields June 1st and we want to remind the public with increased social distancing requirements the public may be removed during scheduled training sessions.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue to maneuver through this time.
