The Medina Bees opened Conference play a with 21 stroke victory over Strongsville Tuesday afternoon at Medina Country Club. Megan Pollock was medalist with a 36 and had plenty of support from Nikki Sherman(39), Alyssa Drehs (40), and Mackenzie Debnar (43) in the win.

The Medina Girls Cross Country team continued their season this past weekend by travelling to Lexington, OH. They finished second overall as a team, just six points behind the host school, Lexington. Sarah Pack once again led the way for the Lady Bees with a fourth place finish overall. Tarynn Cullings (6), Jessica Wolf (7), Ava Pottschmidt (11) and Angie Sullivan (17) rounded out the scoring for the varsity runners.

The girls will continue their season next weekend when they travel to Mentor. This will be a preview of the conference meet course.

The Medina Bees finished ninth today against some of the best teams in the state. Megan Pollock led the way with an 80 including three birdies on the day. Alyssa Drehs was next with a 91 followed by Mackenzie Debnar's 92, and Angie Dick and Nikki Sherman both shooting 100.

Andrew DeLaat shot 78, Joe Kerrigan 79, Sam Thies 80, Sean Gordon 83 and Tyler Grabowski with 3 birdies 84. After a rough opening 9 Tyler came back with a 38 on the back. St. Ignatius won with a 299.

The Bees fell in the opening NOC match by 3 to Hudson 154-157. The Bees were led by Sam Thies with a 38, Evan Schreck 39, Joe Kerrigan and Tyler Grabowski 40's, Andrew DeLaat 42 and Sean Gordon 44. Hudson had a pair of 37's from Will Kurtz and Nolan Laughlin. Both teams will be in action Saturday at Windmill Lakes.
The JV boys defeated Hudson at Hudson 169-197. Avery Borak and Hunter Churchman shot 40's, Stephen Handy 44, Ryan Cole 45, Robbie Hansen 52 and Zach Wagner 55.

For the fifth time this year, the Bees finished in the top three at a tournament. Megan Pollock shot a 77 and Alyssa Drehs added a 78 to lead the Bees to third out of nineteen at the George Valentine Invitational. Mackenzie Debnar continued her solid season with an 84 and Seniors Nikki Sherman and Angie Dick fired 92's in the match.

Today kicked off the cross country season with a preview of the state-meet course in Hebron, OH at National Trail Raceway. The air was crisp and cool, the sun was out, and it felt like fall: perfect cross country weather. In total, eighteen girls ran, of which ten were in the varsity race and eight in the open race.

The varsity girls placed eighth out of twenty four teams in a competitive field. Six of those twenty four teams qualified to the state meet last year. The Bees were led by senior Sarah Pack, followed closely (very closely) by sophomore Tarynn Cullings.
