The Medina Bees ended their regular season with a 70-56 win at Wooster on Wednesday night. The team stands at 16-6 on the year vs. a very tough schedule. The Bees will pause and then prepare for the 2020 OHSAA Tournament.

Sarah McKee showed up in a big way vs, Wooster, handling PG duties plus tough defensive assignments and posting 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Lindsey Linard scored a team-high 18 points over 3 quarters and added 6 rebounds. Shannon Wojciak (10 points, 6 assists), Leora Owings (6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists) and Elizabeth Stuart (9 points, 2 steals) all chipped in strong performances and led a team effort to get it done. Hailey Tripp, Haley Letner, Alyssa Johnson, Gill Wagner and Chloe Helsel all played good minutes off the bench.

Linard moves into 4th place amongst all-time scoring leaders for Medina Girls Basketball.
She is also one away from tying the record for most FT’s made in a career. Additionally, Stuart is now tied for most 3-pointers scored in a single-season.

#2 seed Medina will host either Bedford or Normandy in the Sectional Finals on Thursday, Feb. 20 at Medina High School. Tip Off is at 7pm.
