The varsity boys basketball team fell to Solon 76-70 on Friday evening. The Bees battled with the #2 ranked team in the state of Ohio for four quarters but were unable to give the Comets their first loss of the season. Sophomore Kyle Szumski was the leading scorer for Medina with 17 points. Freshman Corey Tripp finished with 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists in his first career start. Dillon Friedrick scored 11 points with three 3-pointers and Tyler Kaminski added 8 points and 8 rebounds on the night.
Medina is now 5-14 overall and 1-10 in the GCC. They will travel to Strongsville on Tuesday evening to take on the Mustangs in another league matchup.
