The varsity gymnastics team finished in 8th Place at the OHSAA District Meet hosted by West Geauga High School on Saturday afternoon. The team did not finish in the top 5 spots so they did not qualify for the State Meet but Medina was able to have two individuals qualify for the Individual portion of the State Meet.
Freshman Meghan Deighton qualified for the State Meet on the Balance Beam. She finished in 11th Place with a score of 9.125. Junior Lauren Romano qualified for the State Meet for the 3rd year in a row. She qualified in the Floor Exercise event by posting a 9.05 score which put her in a tie for 13th Place.
Meghan and Lauren will compete in the OHSAA State Individual Competition next weekend at Hilliard Bradley High School on Saturday afternoon. Good luck ladies!
