The MHS gymnastics team competed at the district tournament hosted at West Geauga today where the top 6 teams and the top 17 individuals advanced to the state tournament in Columbus. The Bees placed 4th earning team advancement as well as 3 individuals advancing to the individual meet on Saturday. Medina was the highest scoring team of the day on balance beam with junior, Meghan Deighton placing second with a 9.45 and junior, Addison Kasian in 6th with a 9.225, both advancing individually on this event. Freshman, Colleen Johnson placed 13th on bars with an 8.925 for one of the 17 bar spots at state. Meghan Deighton also qualified on floor taking 7th place with a 9.325. Senior, McKinley Kerans had strong beam and floor routines, while freshman, Macy Maxworthy had the team high score on bars and a solid beam routine. Also competing for the Bees, sophomore, Madelyn Deighton and junior, Jenna Sterk. We are so proud of these girls!
